Balkan Bagpipe Images

I lifted this image from Stephan's SackpfeiffenClub site. It shows Tassos Diskos playing a Macedonian gaida accompanied by a tupan player at the bagpipe festival in Balingen, Germany, 1997.

This photo shows a beautifully carved Croatian diple of the Dalmatian coast region. The chanter stock has an unusual carved face, and the chanter is of the parallel bore type using two single reeds. This bagpipe is owned and played by my good friend, Sean Folsom, of Kinmundy, IL. You can visit Sean's website and learn about him here.
