Alan - German Bavarian Accordion

With over forty years of folk and traditional music experience, Alan has collected, built and learned to play in excess of thirty instruments (see 'About Alan - Instrument Collection' pages). As well as being a fine musician and entertainer, Alan can relate a great deal of information on each instrument he plays, having studied it's history and traditions, organology and methods of construction. Alan's research has taken him to Europe and the British Isles many times where he has both studied and performed.

Working as a full-time professional musician, Alan performs many solo engagements throughout the year, and also performs with his three traditional music groups: Tour de France, 'Rosin the Bow', and Les Campagnards. (Also see: Alan's Performing Groups pages).

As a music teacher, Alan gives both private and group lessons on the bagpipes and diatonic accordion. See: Services - Music Instruction page.

Alan is featured on these recordings: Le Soleil's Le Soleil and Bal Folk en Californie, French Creek's Fait en Californie, and Tour de France's album Music of the French Provinces. See: Products - Recordings page.
